Zillertal at your feet on the Gedrechter
Due to its exposed position and the relaxed ascent, the panoramic
Gedrechter mountain is definitely worth a sunrise hike. Because of the imposing view to the East and South, this summit will allow you to witness how the first rays of sunlight awaken the valley.
On the shoulders of giants: the Gerlossteinwand
The Gerlossteinbahn cable car takes you along the gigantic rock face on a difficult panoramic tour. As you are guided across lush alpine meadows and through the picturesque countryside, it is important to savour the view of the striking Brandberger Kolm and then the stunning mountain vistas.
The realm of the ibexes & the high mountain chapel
On this difficult hike you will be accompanied through the enchanting Zillergrund to the beautiful St. Valentin Chapel, which is located above the bright blue Zillergründl reservoir. Before that you will visit the Steinbock.Worlds where you can also observe these extraordinary ibexes in their enclosure.
Tour in the nature park to the Torseen lakes
The Nature Park Zillertal Alps offers this guided sunrise hike over the Tuxertal. You will be guided to the beautiful blue Torseen lakes, where you can watch the natural spectacle sitting on the shore in the white flowering cotton grass – a hotspot for photographers.

he approx. 56 km long circular hike with an elevation of 4,990 m and a descent of 4,980 m leads via 6 huts through the high-alpine landscape on the main ridge of the Alps.

4 bike route tips
Stoamandlweg
First destination: Wedelhütte. Here you can park your bike and start the ascent to the summit of the Wimbachkopf on foot.
Zittauer Hütte
From Alpengasthof Finkau, you cross the beautiful Wildgerlostal valley by bike to the large waterfall at the end of the valley. From there, the steep ascent to the Zittauer Hütte begins.
Kasseler Hütte
From Mayrhofen, take the bike in the direction of Stilluptal to the valley station of the Kasseler Hütte material cable car. From there you walk to the Kasseler Hütte.
Junssee/Junsjoch
Ride your bike up to the Junsbergalm/Stoankasern. After the snack station, park your bike in the bike parking area to climb the Junssee. The bike parking area below the Junsjoch requires more metres in altitude.

High Alps Nature Park Zillertal Alps
The High Alps Nature Park Zillertal Alps is a high mountain nature park in the truest sense of the word. It extends from the mountaineering village Ginzling up to the Hochfeiler. All altitudinal levels are thereby part of the nature park, which is characterised by exceptionally high biodiversity. Together with other nature reserves in North, South and East Tyrol, the Zillertal Alps High Mountain Nature Park forms the largest association of nature reserves in the Alps!
