Off to Zillertal

Numerous public transport connections from major European cities enable you to enjoy a relaxed and inexpensive journey to Zillertal. If you travel by train or plane, your holiday will start as soon as you leave home – no more traffic jams at critical junctions, no need to calculate time buffers. From Jenbach, your destination train station, you can reach your accommodation easily on the Zillertalbahn or a public bus. From your destination airports, Innsbruck or Munich, the reliable Four Seasons airport shuttle will take you quickly and comfortably to Zillertal.

 


  Arrival by train

Whether you start in Europe you can catch the high-speed train direction to Innsbruck and get off the train in Jenbach, where you change to the Zillertalbahn train or the train station shuttle

 In a flash: Have breakfast in Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna or Zurich  in the morning and explore the Zillertal mountains with your children on the same day.

 Save money: With the Sparpreis or the BahnCard, the journey to the Zillertal is guaranteed to be cheap. The train tickets can be booked up to 6 months in advance.

  Save more: As a group of six or more people, you can travel to the Zillertal at particularly low prices. The Sparpreis Europa Gruppe Austria can be booked up to 12 months in advance at the travel centre or by telephone. Online up to 6 months in advance. 

  Everything for the family: A train journey means adventure, fun and lots of freedom of movement. There is no room for boredom in the toddler compartment, the family areas in the ICE and the children's menu in the on-board restaurant or bistro. On many ICE trains, child minders are on board at weekends.

  On the way in the valley: Zillertalbahn, Four Seasons Travel shuttle service and a bus - totally comfortable, totally mobile through the Zillertal.

  Arrival by car

Take the A12 Inntal motorway (motorway vignette!) to the Zillertal exit between Innsbruck and Kufstein. Continue on the B169 to your holiday destination.

If you are coming from the east or the north: From Munich/Salzburg/Vienna, take the A1, A8 and A93 to Kiefersfelden. Continue on the A12 – NB: compulsory toll sticker (“vignette”) – to the Zillertal exit. Then take the B169 right into Zillertal.

If you are coming from the west: From Vorarlberg/Innsbruck, take the A12 to the Zillertal exit. Then take the B169 right into Zillertal.

If you are coming from the south: From Klagenfurt, take the A10 to Salzburg. From Graz, take the A9 to Liezen. Then continue on the A10 to Salzburg or take the Bischofshofen exit (see above).

  Arrival by airplane

Innsbruck (50 km), Munich (170 km) and Salzburg (150 km) airports are all very close to Zillertal and directly linked by regular daily flights to destinations across Europe.
