CENTURION BIKES
The traditional German manufacturer celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2016. As an Alpine cross pioneer and the company that brought mountain bikes to Germany, CENTURION has a closer affinity to the mountains than almost any other bike brand. In 1976, the German amateur cyclist Wolfgang Renner made a momentous decision: to hang up his own bike and work on developing and selling CENTURION ones. Having initally specialised in road bikes with innovative parts from Japan, CENTURION launched Germany’s first ever mountain bike in 1982 – the ‘Country’.
Merida & Centurion Germany GmbH is a constantly expanding company with a first-class stand in the bicycle industry. Its headquarters are in the Swabian town of Magstadt in the Stuttgart innovation area. As a German distributor, the company successfully enriches the local bicycle market with a wide range of exclusive brands in the field of equipment and accessories. The company also develops and sells the international bicycle brands Merida and Centurion on site.
